15-day trial

Football was not a choice for Noelia Ramos; it was an inheritance, a family language, and above all, a victory over fate. Born with a heart that had to fight from her first months of life, Noelia swapped dolls for balls and medical forecasts for an elite reality.

In this story, the current goalkeeper and teacher opens the doors to her journey: from the day she decided to "fly" to protect the goal, to the invisible pillars of discipline, psychology, and recovery that support an athlete at the highest level. It is the chronicle of a woman who understands that true strength lies not only in the gloves but in a soul that serves as an anchor and an unbreakable mindset to be 1% better every day.

Noelia Ramos: A story of overcoming, football, and mindset

My story with sports began practically from the moment I was born. Both my sister and I always asked for football balls football and not dolls. Football was part of our life at home: my father was a professional footballer in the Second Division, and my uncle played in the First Division. My brother was also a footballer, and my mother, although she did not play, was always there, accompanying us to every match and living every moment with us.

Since I was little, I have always kept in mind a phrase that defines me: “I am a warrior and I will die a warrior.

At just five months old, I had to undergo surgery for a double aortic arch, and my first years of life were quite delicate. However, as my parents always said, Noelia was made to fight for her dreams. And so it was.

At six years old, I was medically cleared and finally able to start playing football. Something that once seemed unthinkable, but I achieved thanks to strength, perseverance, and the unconditional support of my family.

During my early years, I played as a forward. I liked being close to the goal and participating in the offensive play. However, the goal always caught my attention. Until one day, at eleven years old, I was sure. I remember telling my father:

Dad, I want to fly like those goalkeepers

That same day we bought my first gloves, and the next day, I was already in goal. Since then, I knew that was my place.

Football has accompanied me all my life. Even before finishing the mixed stage playing with boys, my sister and I were called to join the club where I currently play: CD Tenerife Femenino. At just 15 years old, we debuted in the First Division, fulfilling a dream that began when we were just girls playing with a ball.

The bond I have with this sport goes far beyond competition. Football has given me magical moments, but it has also taught me to face difficulties, manage adversity, and understand that the path to dreams is never perfect.

Because if I have learned anything, it is that my soul is my anchor and my true strength lies within.

These have been years of effort, discipline, and sacrifice, balancing sports with studies and dedicating many hours to that invisible work that no one sees. An effort that also allowed me to fulfill another of my great passions: becoming an Early Childhood Education Teacher.

The journey has been beautiful, although it has also had setbacks, which in the end are part of life. But the values of football and sports in general go far beyond success or results. For me, being 1% better every day is already a personal victory.

Staying at the elite level requires attention to every detail. That is why I consider myself an ambitious and disciplined person. In my daily life, I work on fundamental aspects such as nutrition, physical preparation, sports psychology, rest, and invisible training. Everything adds up.

Because every piece that depends on yourself must be under your control and at 200%. That is my mindset.

The importance of recovery

Within that mindset, recovery is as important to me as training itself. It is an essential part of my routine and one of the keys to performing at the highest level.

My five pillars for good recovery are:

  • Maintaining a healthy diet
  • Prioritizing quality rest and, of course, with my Sizen pressotherapy boots.
  • Maintaining proper hydration
  • Taking care of emotional balance
  • Using red light therapy to promote restorative sleep

Listening to my body is part of my daily care. Knowing when to push and when to recover is fundamental to maintaining balance and achieving active and conscious recovery.

Over the years, I have learned that taking care of every little detail makes the difference. Because in the end, that silent work that no one sees is what truly builds performance and excellence.

My path in football is much more than a sports career; it is a way of understanding life. Every training session, every match, and every obstacle overcome has taught me that dreams are built with effort, perseverance, and passion.

I continue to work every day with the same enthusiasm I had as a child who dreamed of flying in goal because I know that true success is not only in achievements but in the ability to keep growing, surpassing oneself, and always giving the best version of oneself.
